Bruges is beautiful!! I have been a couple of times and it's just quiet, picturesque and a lovely place to sit by the water and drink a cold beer or glass of wine (or something more highbrow if you're a Baroness for example!) I have to say I think Belgium is underrated. People make fun of it but it has some beautiful places. And the best beer ever.
Had a philosophy professor who went to school in Belgium.
And before you go, do yourself a favor and rent the movie "In Bruges" with Colin Ferrell. It's a rather gruesome shoot-em-up with a heart of gold. You'll love it . . . and then you can say, "Hey! I saw that in a movie!"
Guv: Althought I can't imbibe, I will buy one for you and pour it on the cobblestones "for my homey".
Count Daddy: Hey - I can't wait to say that!
Countess NATUI: I am truly beside myself with glee. But this is tempered with a liberal dose of Jewish guilt about being happy. It all evens out.
Countess iPost: You know it, hon! Since I've read that Europe is a tad older than the other places I've been, I might be able to find some wicked vintage cards.
Countess TSannie: If you only knew how much I've already pared down from my packing pile, you'd be proud.
And sad.
Because, I'm afraid, to quote Heidi Klum, you're out.
Really, I'm sorry. But it's you or the other pair of comfy walking shoes...
Countess AG: I got some Earth Shoes (ah, the memories.... - only these ones are Mary Janes. My friend lent me her Josef Siebels, which are chic and comfy.
Count Brown: Yeah, we're playing fast and loose with their education funds - who needs college anyways, right?
(Actually, we're meeting #2 at the end of his trip and all flying back together - I'm a total Smother Mother) (I hope I don't have to explain the 5000 miles of umbilical cord bundled up in my carry-on...)
Have I mentioned how much I love you lately? Not in the stalker way...in the postcard way! I just got the Olympic card and it made my heart go pitter-patter. It will be up on Sunday, August 10 on my regular blog, Nine Acres! xxoo
Count Bubs: If only I was drinking. I may just have to order a "gay beer" just to have a taste (we watched the movie again last night - hubby hadn't seen it yet),

Happy Trails, Baroness!
And which comfortable shoes did you settle on?

While the kids away, the cats, er, parents, will go full out wild!
BTW, thanks for the link and I linked you back.

Countess iPost: I look forward to finding "les parfait cartes du poste" while abroad!
As for the xx's & oo's - keep the love coming, hon. It's a good thing.
W~O~W....
Happy Trails!
Thanks for stopping by my place and checking out my "boots"...
Have a wonderful weekend!
Meg
Countess Punchy: Welcome, welcome, welcome! These trails will be glorious, I tells ya!
Love your site! Hope to be able to poke around a little more this weekend.
Do you need a maidservant? I can have my uniform ready in no time...
I am SERIOUSLY LIKING this idea. I've been watching and reading a lot of historical dramas lately, and I think I could use your help.
Beautiful. My brother said that Belgium had the best beer when he was in Europe.
