Thoughtful Thursday

Ferragamo, Blahnik, Louboutin, Choo.

I have always maintained that shoe designers were secretly members of The Illuminati - masterminds of a New World Order.

A world where, thanks in no small part to their contributions, everyone will first and foremost have glorious foot coverings.

The order part will come later. One must feel sassy to begin the upheaval, non?

This quote, posted in Toronto's Bata Shoe Museum further solidifies my belief:

"To be carried by shoes,
be winged by them,
To wear dreams on one's
feet is to begin to give
reality to one's dreams."

Sage words courtesy of one Monsieur Roger Vivier.

Sole Man.

Although I happen to hate wearing shoes and socks, or shoes and stockings, or shoes with neither, I do have the gene which mandates buying shoes, lots of them, all of which are on sale, deeply discounted. You never know what sort of mood you're in or what sort of mood the weather is in. Better to have more (including 95% that you never wear) than not enough.

That there is an entire museum devoted to shoes proves my point, whatever that was.

Mais oui, sassiness is a requirement for upheaval. Very well put. Sometimes gastrointestinal distress is involved, but that's probably not what you meant.

We wont even talk about how many pairs of shoes I have. It is rather embarrassing.

Countess CBW: I would hope that any of your upheavals never involve the upper nor lower GI tract. Although - is it coincidence that some upheavals are based on tracts? I think not. Ooh, dear, I've lost my point as well!

Countess NNG: Sure we'll talk. You can tell me anything...
