Diggin' it, Maui-Style

One of the Baroness' favorite places in the whole wild world is Maui. Time seems to stop, and everyone moves in a slow, peaceful rhythm. Love it, LOVE it, LOVE IT!

I would move there tomorrow if I could. I find it one of the most calming places on Earth.

Although, according to the Baron's Quantum Theory (or was it Einstein's?)(Or maybe the Baron is Einstein...) where no space is created or destroyed, equal amounts of Maui residents are as eager to leave the island to come live in Vancouver.

Huh.

I never was really good at Physics. But it sounds like if this is the case, there's gonna be an apartment available up in Kapalua. Cool.

This I understand.

On the von B's last pilgrimage to all that is pineapple, we came across a great local radio station.

Imagine my delight when I found out they have a streaming audio you can play on the laptop.

So, I'm currently in the back yard gardening, and groovin' on KPOA. All I need's a little surf sound lapping in the background, and I'm back to Mellowville.

Alohaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I haven't been to the other islands of Hawai'i, though I've been there twice. I've heard great things about Maui and Kauai. It's on the to-do list. How cool that you found a radio station that will let you feel as though you're there! Put on the Hawaiian shirt and hula, girl!

Peace - D

Do you have a grass skirt, too?

Curses on you making me dream of tropical paradises and lapping waves. I'm currently looking at a gas station and wishing I had a Cadbury's chocolate bar.

Something for you to pick up at my place!

Countess RiverPoet: I highly recommend Maui for peace and quiet. As for the grass skirt and coconut bra - I leave that to the experts.

Countess MPM: Sadly, I do not have a grass skirt. I think they must be wicked itchy. Maybe I'll make one out of fleece. You know that we're all crunchy granola up in these here parts...

Guv: Cadbury's abound in Canada, you know. I think it was part of some monarchy ruling thing of 1806.

Countess AG: I am gobsmacked. Will tend to this ASAP. Have some mulling to do first...
