Thoughtful Thursday

"She [Nell] was surprised to find that, despite her outward appearance - briskness, tidiness, smiling capability - Oona's mind was like a sock drawer into which a number of disparate things had been shoved. There was a lot of jumble." Monopoly, by Margaret Atwood

My sock drawer? Filled to the brim with disparate things.

Things shoved.

Things jumbled.

I am seeking medical attention.

Sock drawers and minds can be so impudent at times. We open them up quickly to cram more junk inside so we can hide it. At some point the drawers don't close properly and everyone is able to see your bra, your Readers Digest, and your troubles hanging from what should be just a plain old sock drawer.
