Take 3.25 Every Hour for 24 Hours. Forever. Do Not Operate Heavy Machinery.

How many blogs do you read on a regular basis?

I just did a count, because I keep getting surprised when I go to a site and I seem so behind and out of the loop. The Baroness loathes being out of the loop.

And just as I am a fast talker, y'all - I am an even speedier reader.

So, I read 78 on a regular basis. I try to do this daily. I'm nothing if not thorough.

Yup, 78. Seventy-freakin'-eight. You read it right.

Granted, 2 are no longer active (for them, I wear something stylishly black while I have my solemn minute of pouting), but I still go there, dancing my eyes across their final posts, reading between the lines, the words, the letters; selfish hoping they'll change their mind or that there's some code that will redirect me to another secret site. But, alas, no. (or I suck at decoding. That could be a strong possibility...)

This is crazy. How do I get anything done? But I can't help myself.

These are such compelling, amusing, eloquent, thought-provoking citizens of the the blogosphere - how can I miss even one?

Why do you all have to be so good?

Why? Why?

43 and growing *sigh*

Ahhh...I feel much lighter now having said it aloud.

Hi. My name is iPost and i am a blog addict.

See how easy that was??

Countess iPost: I. Just. Can't. Say.
The. Words. Yet.

Should we start a 12-Step-Blog?

I am not ready for an intervention yet. And I am in such denial that I refuse to count my list. So there.

Countess MPM: Wow - sounding a little hostile there, Ms. Winehouse.
Maybe it's time...

I am in denial, too. I don't think the number is quite up with yours, but it is still bad enough. I think my poor kids only recognize me if the laptop is on my lap.

Yeah, I read quite a few, too. Not just blogs by you wonderful writers but trade blogs for my job. Some days I feel that I'll never get anything done except reading and commenting.

Now if I could only get MY readership up!

Peace - D

I have those I read set up in When i got there, those who have posted since I last read them are bold. That way, I don't spend time opening one just to find out they haven't posted.

I read a bunch too. I'm afraid to count them.

I don't want to count. (But I think it's around 40 ish) Sometimes I can't keep up and I become a blog slug. Ewww!

I am in denial about needing help!

78?? That's insane! I don't think I even know 7 people much less 78.

Only about a dozen here, and not everyone posts everyday. I'd need to switch to part-time if I read any more than that!!! . . .. babspeapod

You have outdone yourself. I just received the two cards today. LOVE THEM! And it sounds like you are having a rockin' time with the exchange student!

Countess NATUI: I, too, have had many comments about my time in front of the computer. So now, it's an early morning thing before the sloths are even up and about. Am I exhibiting hiding behaviour? Yea, I guess so. Oh well.

Countess RiverPoet: That is one of the most frustrating aspects I find. But like one of my sage friends said, "If you think no one's heard your tree fall in the forest, maybe they're just haven't made it to the forest yet." Patience.

Countess MeeMaw: I only counted because when I left the list overnight in the dark, in the morning it seemed to have multiplied like rabbits. Some thinning may be in order. But I have such guilt.

Countess AG: It's inevitable that living in the NW will turn you in to some kind of slug. Just stay away from any salty blogs.

Countess H: I only know these people through their blogs - I've had the pleasure of meeting one, almost meeting another, and emailing off-line with a few others. I love the connection, and how the big world becomes a little smaller. I'm starting to think, though, that I'll pare down the ones who don't really engage. Life's too short.

Countess Babs: Like I said, I'm a fast reader. If only my typing could keep up.

Countess iPost: I'm so glad you like them - I would never expect them up on your page - but I know how fun it is for kids to get real mail in the mail. It's fun for us, too - trying to find just the right, non-touristy ones. Expect one from Whistler (home of the 2010 Winter Olympics) soon!
